Theodore A. Moore, LPC
Ted Moore is the founder of Carenet Counseling LLC. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, by the State of New Jersey, with over 23 years of professional counseling and helping experience. He was clinical director of a large nonprofit organization. He has also had the privilege to teach many undergraduate psychology and counseling classes as an adjunct professor at several colleges.
Over the years, Ted has worked to develop a therapeutic process with his clients that go goes towards transformation. He believes that the mere removal of negative symptoms is only the beginning of therapy. Helping these clients transform their lives is the ultimate goal.
Denise Jarvis MA, LPC
Denise is a practicing counselor for 20 years. She holds a Master’s Degree, is Nationally Board Certified (NCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LCDAC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). Her clinical experience includes individual, family and group therapy at Carrier Clinic, UMDNJ and Penn Medicine/Princeton House. She is also trained in EMDR. Denise also works in adjunct faculty positions at TCNJ. She is past president and Board Member of the New Jersey Counseling Association. She is also a member of the American Counseling Association.
Irene Carman MA, LPC
Irene is the Central Jersey Coordinator & active board member of New Jersey Mental Health Counselors Association. She joined Carenet in the Summer of 2010. Originally a public school teacher, Irene pursued graduate work at both TCNJ and Rutgers University, and completed the post-masters program at The New Jersey Institute for Training in Psychoanalysis. Not only has she worked with successful outcomes for many clients, she has has also been a presenter for many workshops.
Ariel Susman, MA, EdM, LPC, LMHC
Ariel Susman is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. Ariel specializes in working with teens and adults with a wide range of mental health barriers. She believes in a collaborative approach to counseling and meeting the individual where they are in their growth. Ariel is trained in a variety of counseling modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation. She firmly believes that anyone can succeed beyond their barriers and would like to help individuals take steps towards achieving their goals. .
Matthew Hunt, LAC
Matthew is a Licensed Associate Counselor currently working towards being a Licensed Professional Counselor. Matthew has worked in several different treatment levels, including inpatient substance use, Partial Hospitalization Programs, and Intensive Outpatient Programs. Matthew has provided treatment for adult, young adult, and adolescent populations. Matthew has been involved with multiple treatment modalities including group and individual treatment options. Matthew has worked in substance and behavioral addictions, as well as working closely with the LGBTQ+ population. He utilizes a solution-focused approach that focuses on the clients strengths that, at times, they may not be aware of. Matthew has therapy experience with DBT, CBT, psychoeducation, and family counseling.
Administrative Staff
Our administrative staff handles all of the billing, scheduling, and assistance in navigating insurance companies. Brandi and Becky, our office administrators, will happily assist you with anything you may need in the office, or over the phone.
